Stacy is a mama to three teens, splitting her time between the USA and the beautful island of Bali.

She is an Interreligious Chaplain, completing a Master in Divinity with a Certificate in Buddhist Chaplaincy and she has a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work.

With nearly 20 years as a birth and postpartum doula, she also serves as a breastfeeding counsellor and student of midwifery.

Her work supporting families through perinatal and postpartum loss revealed a critical need for deeper understanding and wisdom in this area for care providers, leading her to train in Holding Space for Pregnancy Loss and Bereavement Doula Care.

During seminary, she dedicated a year to trauma studies to enhance her client support (and do some self-healing, too!).

Her clinical placement included a birth center in Bali, Indonesia where she had been volunteering off and on for about 18 years. It is here where she met Angelina and David and helped them navigate loss and grief with her skill in rituals and focusing on hope.

Earlier in life, to stay near her children, she taught in Waldorf education and guided youth on outdoor hikes during summer camps and school breaks. Time outdoors - camping, backpacking, and trail walks with groups and friends - has been important over the years.

Stacy begins each day with coffee and dairy-free milk, followed by meditation (even when it’s a struggle to get started).

She loves the feeling of sunshine on skin, the smell of frankincense, the taste of spicy guacamole, the sound of the gayatri mantra and the sight of birds dancing together in the sky.

Stacy's Role in this Camino

With her many years of experience in working with Pregancy and Infant Loss, Stacy has tailored a program for this Camino and will help participants through different processes and rituals to work through (and walk through) their grief.

Her intention is that - by the end of the Camino - you'll feel more capable to live with your grief and have the skills to manage the feelings as they come up throughout life.

David and Angelina are parents of Danya—their little son whose heart stopped in the womb at 36 weeks of pregnancy in July 2025.

Since that time, they have been on a healing journey—step by step, breath by breath—learning how to keep moving forward while carrying their love and grief together. Along the way, they were blessed with the most compassionate support. One of the people who walked beside them was Stacy, who was there for Danya’s birth and who continues to accompany them as a Chaplain, Bereavement Doula and dear friend.

The unfortunate death of Danya led to the birth of this Camino journey.

Before their pregnancy with Danya, David and Angelina had often talked about walking the Camino together. David had already completed the full Camino twice and had discovered how walking opens space for peace, reflection, and renewal.

After losing Danya, that dream became something deeper: Angelina had the vision of bringing other grieving parents with them on the Camino, on a journey of healing, gratitude, and gentle transformation.

When they invited Stacy to run the Camino program, her face lit up! She said she had dreamed of the Camino for years, so jumped at the opportunity to join in. Together, they have created this facilitated walk for fellow bereaved parents.

Backgrounds and Roles in this Camino

David is a professional photographer with 15 years of experience running a photography company in Australia. He has a long history of personal development—including adventures to Tibet, Antarctica, Mt. Kilimanjaro, and walking the Camino—before moving to Bali to start a retreat centre supporting people's growth. He has served as a men's circle facilitator for five years in Bali, Australia, and online internationally.

Angelina holds degrees in linguistics and law from Russia, later shifting to international tourism and hospitality with a master's in Australia. She has held roles with an international airline, online booking agency, a guest house management, tour and events organising, and community care coordination. Having lived in three countries and travelled to more than 20, she brings a deep understanding of diverse cultures.

They have drawn on this experience to organise every detail of the trip and will walk alongside you as fellow participants, coordinators, and - where possible - facilitators assisting Stacy in helping you with your grief processing. Angelina will serve as travel and care coordinator, while David will support the physical challenges of walking, helping everyone keep going even when it's tough.

This walk is an invitation to move through grief in community — to share stories, silence, and strength with others who understand.

With Stacy’s professional care, David and Angelina's heartfelt presence, and the shared rhythm of walking side by side - we hope each participant finds moments of peace, connection, and hope along the way. Grief may change us forever, but together, step by step, we can keep walking toward light, love, and the future waiting ahead.

We would be honored to walk this path with you
